Cheerleading ranges from chanting, to intense physical activity for sports team motivation, audience entertainment, or competition based upon organized routines. Competitive routines typically range anywhere from one to three minutes, and contain components of tumbling, dance, jumps, cheers, and stunting.

        Strength Not Bulk

PSA's specialized cheer training program greatly & noticably enhances the athlete's ability to get stronger while decreasing body fat & toning!  Nutrition & and cardiovascular fitness are also key components.  Don't get tricked into looking like a football player...

Rhythm Is A Dancer

  The jumps, tumbling and stunting positions involved in cheerleading require extensive flexibility. PSA focuses on head-to-toe stretching of all of the major muscle groups & also focus on cheerleading-specific stretches such as straddles, splits and back bends. 

Yes It's A Sport

In order to perform for 2 1/2 minutes straight, competitive cheerleaders need endurance. Cardiovascular exercise is what will build endurance.  Cheerleaders should be encouraged to participate in aerobic activities especially PSA classes.
